Washington DC
I know nothing else about Washington DC aside from the White House— that is the sole reason why I wanted to go to DC. I never knew that there’s a lot to see in there, so I thought that a day trip would be more than enough to see its best. But I’m wrong— there’s absolutely a lot more for the second most visited state in the US. Living 10mins away from the top...

Holy Week
What seems like the worst week ever, turned out to be a great week.
A week prior to Holy week, I already know that I would not have even a single day off. This is America— All work, No Holiday/s. What added to my sadness is the fact that it’s my first Holy week away from my loved ones. I am proud to say that I have a family who knows the very essence of the season. And this year, I...

Of LEAVING and LIVING
Saying that I miss home so much is an understatement. It is, really.
The thought of being away from my family and my friends still scares me. No, scratch that. It’s already a fact. I am here in the US, away from my comfort zone. And it pains me.
I was very determined to push through. I’ve prayed hard for this to happen. God didn’t failed me.
I knew I would be away from...

Home away from home
I have never imagined leaving home at an early age of 20. No, I’m not getting married yet. I left home for work here in the United States—something I never thought I would do in my entire life.
When I was a kid, I kept on telling my parents and all that I would never go abroad. Talk about eating your own words. Having grown in a family where you only get to see your breadwinner after adding...

Moochy's back!
It was exactly a week ago when we rushed Moochy to Vet’s Nook, after 2 days of no food intake. Good thing though, Mom kept him hydrated. I almost cursed the first vet who did nothing else but say that he would be cured by contrimixazole. My instinct wouldn’t let me believe, so I decided to bring him to another vet who was recommended by a good friend.
First thing I know upon arriving...

Jam-Packed Pampanga
February 12.
We went all the way to Clark Freeport, Angeles, Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Thank God, my sched was clear that weekend! Pangs should have cursed me, if not. Haha. Originally, we were supposed to be with Kuya Ren and Kuya Eric, but since they have a reservation somewhere, the plan didn’t push through. Good thing though, Jhels, Tin and Marco are also up for the...

Sunday. I. Love.
I love Sundays.
There are a lot of reasons why, and I’ll tell you one.
Last Sunday, I met up with friends. We were supposed to be a big group. Plan was compromised, again. But I would not just let this plan be scraped.
Pangs, Marco, Kuya Jheerick and I heard the mass at Pink Sisters, where I also bumped with my Aunt and her kada.
I’ve been praying hard for a thing to happen for the...

My first boo Sbarro experience
I’ve been craving for Sbarro’s taste for almost a week so I decided to ask out the Rufino’s to dine with me. I actually thought of not inviting Pangs, but ended up having dinner with her alone since her sib needs to attend to something and her mom’s shift ends at 10pm.
Pangs wants Mcdo for dinner. I should’ve agreed to eat there. But since I’m dying to have a...

Of departures
Last weekend was a roller coaster of emotions.
Saturday. We dropped Pa at the airport. He had to leave early because of an urgent matter. I’ve already grown old of the same setup and I’m already used to the emotions. To set the record straight, I’m no longer affected by Dad’s arrival and departure. Don’t get me wrong, I love my dad bigtime! But if you’ve been...

Dream 2020
I just heard the news from my US employer— my supposed start date of April 1 was moved to an earlier date, exactly a month earlier.
At the moment, I really don’t know what to feel. I’m excited about the new experience yet sad because in a few, I’ll leave the people whom I love dearly. It might be a short time, but for someone who is very attached to others, it would...

Sickness aftermath!
I wasn’t really feeling well the whole week. Last Friday, I called in sick and made use of my sick leave— my first ever.
Pangs and I have plans of meeting up with our College friends for Arianne’s welcome and send-off party. That’s right, she just arrived last Sunday and left today. Good thing, fate played nice. I felt better by noon. So, I decided to do something...
